Senior Services
The Senior Services Center is an inpatient acute geriatric psychiatry program designed for adults aged 60 and over. A pioneering and innovative approach to treating emotional and mental health issues for seniors is provided by experienced staff.
Admission Criteria
Admission to the Senior Life Center should be considered when an individual is experiencing one or more of the following issues:
- Depressed Mood
- Anxious, nervous, constantly worried
- Sudden onset of memory loss, worsening of confusion or disorientation.
- Sudden onset of hallucinations, paranoia or delusions
- Potential danger or threats of injury to self or others
- Suicidal/Homicidal thoughts
- Combative, violent, resistive behavior
- Sudden change in ability to function independently in environment
- Non-compliance with prescribed psychiatric medication or medication problems (i.e. sedation ineffectiveness)

The Senior Life Center is staffed by a Psychiatrist, masters-level Unit Therapists and Registered Nurses.
Insurance Coverage
Most major commercial insurance programs accepted including Medicare and TennCare.
